  Speed Rated HDMI Now Available From Monster

A new speed rated HDMI cable has been announced by Monster Cable. The product comes as several manufacturers question the longevity of HDMI over of Cat 5 and 6 data cable which can be used to deliver 1080p content as efficiently as HDMI.

Monster's line of speed-rated HDMI cables feature five different levels: Standard Speed, High Speed, Advanced High Speed, Ultra High Speed and Ultimate High Speed

As additions to the M Series line, Monster's highest-performance cable will be designated Ultimate High Speed with a model name of M1000 HD. They are certified by Monster to meet speeds greater than 14.93Gbps.

The Ultra High Speed cable are designed for current and future technologies, said Monster, and are certified for speeds greater than 10.2Gbps. Model names for the Ultra High Speed cables are M850 HD, MC 1000HD and U3 V1000 HD. These cables support 1080p video, 12-bit color depth, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD surround sound, and 120Hz frame-refresh rates.
