By Mike Wheeler | Monday | 25/08/2008

Music Studio allows users can connect any analogue or digital device, such as a microphone, LP player, cassette deck, camcorder, gaming console or DVD player, to their PC through the Music Studio, turning their computer into a powerful recording device – but more importantly allowing you to record your old vinyl records and cassette tapes digitally.

Music Studio records directly from a home stereo to computer, allowing you to save and restore your classic music collections in crystal clear high fidelity. Supporting high quality playback with S/PDIF connection, it comes complete with everything you need to get started.

Included is digital media software Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 LE, which works seamlessly with your hardware to capture all the audio you want. The intuitive software automatically identifies and extracts each track, adds smooth transitions and can remove pops, whistles and clicks that are inherent in analogue recordings, transforming scratchy old tapes and LPs into studio quality sound.

Boasting both Mac and PC compatibility, the Music Studio is able to preserve the highest possible audio fidelity by using a high-speed USB connection. This bypasses the computer's soundcard, avoiding any electrical ‘noise' you would normally get from your PC. Music Studio also runs with Windows and Mac OS compatible recording and editing software, so users can use their own recording and editing programs at any time.

Music Studio was designed for music lovers with collections on outdated formats. By converting to digital format, recordings can then be burnt onto CDs or DVDs, or downloaded onto an iPod or other MP3 player. Users can also create their own podcasts by mixing their voice with music simultaneously - ideal for budding DJs and musicians.
