Belkin has launched a powerful new cable that has a chip built into its structure that significantly enhances the image being pumped to an LCD or Plasma TV. A prototype was first shown at the CES Expo in Las Vegas earlier this year. The performance increase is achieved using technology originally created for medical, industrial, and military applications.

The new RazorVision cable incorporates the market's first real-time processor with video-enhancement integrated into the circuit of an active cable. It can be used with new HDTVs or to upgrade the picture quality from your existing digital TV or video display. RazorVision works with all components using DVI or HDMI™ Interfaces, such as DVD players, digital video recorders, PCs, and cable/satellite boxes like Foxtel.
RazorVision control features include Status and Level selectors, which allow you to enhance your picture according to your viewing preference. In addition, RazorVision allows you to split the screen to compare your existing picture vs. the enhanced RazorVision picture. A status selector allows one to scroll through a split screen, showing enhancement ON and OFF, or full-screen with enhancement ON; it also allows you to bypass the enhancement function completely and rely solely on PureAV high-quality construction and performance to deliver your video content.
