These new models are the first in Australia to combine inverter air-conditioning with air purification and provide constant air quality monitoring to detect dirt in the air using Panasonic's e-ion Air Purification System and Patrol Sensor, the company says.
The air-conditioners monitor for dirty air even if the inverter air-conditioner is not operating and can even detect dirt, as well as undesirable smells such as cigarette smoke and pet odours with its Patrol Sensor. The e-ion Air-Purifying System automatically begins operating if the Patrol Sensor detects that airborne dirt concentration exceeds a certain level. Active e-ions are discharged, powerfully attracting negatively charged dust and inactivating airborne bacteria and mould. The Mega e-ion Filter then captures the dust particles and undesirable odours.
Panasonic also claims that its new range of inverter air-conditioners provides greater control of power, temperature and noise than conventional air-conditioners as inverter air-conditioners reach set temperatures quickly and operate with minimum power to prevent unnecessary power consumption. The wide operational power range allows for more frequent, smaller temperature regulation.
When needed, pressing the Powerful button cools or heats the room quickly. It provides fast comfort, with full power and a strong airflow. When cooling, the set temperature level drops by 3 °C for 4 hours of powerful cooling. Users can also press the Quiet button to reduce the indoor unit operating sound level of just 21dB.
