The bonus Active HEPA filter is claimed by redemption upon purchase of either the Miele S 5211 ‘Care-Taker' or the S 5311+SBB ‘Hard Floor Specialist' from May 1 to June 30, 2009.

According to Miele, its Active HEPA filter gets 99.5% of all dust, allergens and other particles to a microscopic size of 0.3 microns. In addition, not only does it offer HEPA 12 certification for the entire vacuum cleaner, but it also has a layer of active charcoal to absorb odours and to ensure that the air which exits from the vacuum cleaner during cleaning is purified and hygienically clean.

Miele's Product Manager for Floor Care Products, Kris Ronsmans said, "We have fittingly chosen to launch this promotion around the time of World Asthma Day, 6 May, as the Active HEPA filter teamed up with the Miele AirClean Filtration System, found on all our Miele vacuum cleaners, has been developed specifically with allergy and asthma sufferers in mind."

The S 5211, referred to as the ‘Family Care-Taker', is available in a Capri blue finish and has a recommended retail price of $429.00, while the S 5311+SBB ‘Hard Floor Specialist' is finished in a Lava grey colour and sells for a recommended retail price of $529.00.
