One of the new Miele dishwashers, the G 1574 SCVi, has a 3 star energy efficiency rating in addition to its 4.5 star WELS water efficiency rating. It comes with a new circulation pump that claims to shorten wash cycles by allowing spray pressure to be tailored to meet the specific needs of wash programmes. High pressure is used for heavy soiling and lower pressure for sensitive crockery and glasses.

It also features ‘Light soiling 50C,' one of the new, shorter wash cycles added to the new models. Also included is a ‘SensorWash' programme that tailors the cycle, using only the necessary energy, water and time to perfectly clean the load and ‘QuickWash' which has an overall running time of just over half an hour.

The basket design on the G 1574 SCVi has been modified to optimise use of the cabinet space. Along with the addition of glassware rail support on the left hand side, the removable cutlery tray is now sectionable.

In addition, the dishwasher has a new angled fascia as well as LED check indicators for the spray arm, filter and GlassCare. All Miele dishwashers can be connected to a hot water supply of up to 60 degrees, reducing water heat-up times.
