The flagship model of the series, the DA 6000 W Cabrio Wall Décor rangehood, is a manufacturing first for Miele. When not in use, the rangehood folds back, where it lies flush against the wall.
When the rangehood switches on, the motorised canopy folds out and extends above the cooktop, while a second motor tilts the glass panels to optimise the capture of steam and vapours. When switched off, the unit will return to its position in the wall. A safety feature stops canopy movement off if the sensors detect any obstruction when the hood is opening or closing.
The unit also features LED lighting along the edge of the glass panel that produces a gentle, diffuse light, and halogen down-lights in the top glass panel to brightly illuminate the cooking area.
The touch controls allow the user to choose between three power settings, plus an intensive setting, and make use of a run-on function and a programmable grease filter saturation indicator.
