  Samsung Health System Washing Machine

By Manisha Kanetkar | Monday | 22/01/2007

The new Silver Nano Health System from Samsung sounds like an exercise machine, as opposed to a smart washing machine…which it is.

Samsung says its patented Silver Wash technology is the first (globally) to combine disinfectant and antibiotic properties in a washing machine.

Releasing up to 400 billion silver ions, Silver Wash claims to kill 99.9 percent of bacteria coating clothes – with antibacterial protection that lasts up to 30 days. This could be an especially handy feature for keeping ‘shared' laundry such as towels and sheets as hygienic as possible.

Available in a range of front-loader models with capacities of 5kg to 7.5kg, the washing machine can activate Silver Wash during the first and last wash cycles. This, Samsung says, eliminates the need for harsh stain removers and high water temperatures and thus helping your clothes to last longer and save money on your electricity bill.

RRP: $749 - $1399
