OZ Digital Home Best In The World

By David Richards | Monday | 12/09/2005

An Australian house fitted out by a Sydney based technology installer has been voted the "Best Integrated House In The World". The award was announced at the CEDIA Expo in the USA

Sydney based SmartHouse installer Len Wallis has snared one of the most prestigious awards in the world when a Goulburn based property was picked as the best integrated house in the world at the recent CEDIA Expo in the USA. The Crestron Award was presented to Peter Greentree of Len Wallis Audio for a house that incorporated more than $500,000 worth of technology including Crestron Screens Clipsal C Bus and extensive home theatre and audio devices.

A communication room manages security, RF Systems, C Bus and the phone system. More than 20 zones are identified in the house. SmartHouse equipment includes a Creston AV2 controller, an Imerge server, as well as Rotel Hi Fi equipment. Fujitsu plasma and Sharp projectors are also installed in the property along with a Hitachi plasma screen.  Len Wallis said" The award came as a shock. It was a great property owned by a local Southern Highlands family. It has everything from the latest in Crestron and Clipsal technology to outdoor systems for lighting control. To be picked as the best integrated house in the world is a major achievement".Stuart Craig a director of Crestron Control Systems said "We nominated Len Wallis for this award and could not have gone to a more, hard working professional organisation than Len Wallis Audio. They have done a great job with this property from the planning to the integration".
