  IP-Touch Solution For Apartment Foyers

By Mike Wheeler | Monday | 13/10/2008

Lighting control, intercom, a music library and energy management systems were some of the solutions provided by Switch Automation to a 115-apartment complex run by Mirvac in Brisbane.
Each of the four entry doors will feature Switch Automation's IP-Touch intercom door station, which is a new glass-covered, patent-pending unit that enables full 2-way communication to any SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) enabled voice and video enabled device.

All Switch Automation products are capable of carrying voice and video including their range of interactive touch screen displays and VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) handsets.

Using the latest projective capacitive technology, the IP-Touch intercom is operated through the aforementioned glass panel. Its user interface is fully customisable presenting residents and guests with an interactive touch display to contact the intended recipient.

The IP-Touch provides a solution that can be scaled to any size for many applications including multi-residential apartments and businesses.

Switch Automation has an underlying philosophy of integrating innovative technology using IP and open standards. Together with a range of interactive touch screens and integrated entertainment servers, a range of VoIP-based IP intercom solutions leverages widely used and fully scalable technology capable of video and voice communications over local ethernet or the internet.
