  Revox Multi-Room AV System

By Rob Gillam | Monday | 23/01/2006

Renowned Swiss audio company, Revox, returns to Australia under a new distributor and showcases a new high-end multi-room AV system.

Multi-room audio systems are a driving force in home audiovisual entertainment and Revox, distributed by Sampford & Staff in Australia, has a 100-strong portfolio of products on offer, including multi-room servers, amplifiers, speakers, remotes, switching, cabling, tuners, CD and DVD players.

An all-in-one solution is the Revox Multi-Room system, a modular system enabling users to connect up to 32 rooms via a single AV unit and simultaneous control over different audio in different rooms.

The system uses the M200 domotic interface, which allows the system to be integrated with home control systems such as an EIB, AMX, Crestron, Control 4 and Elan – thus allowing for lighting, music, security and heating control simply by switching in the EIB system.

Revox claims system control is easy as turning on a light.

"Revox will be a serious contender in purchasing considerations of people building, renovating or simply looking for a luxurious, yet easy-to-use multi-room system," says Sampford & Staff's Michael Van Raay.

Cost: from $38 000 (four-zone system) and from $2500 per additional room.
