  New Portable DVD Player

By SmartHouse | Monday | 18/04/2005

Heading for a long car journey with the kids? If so, then NECs new portable DVD player maybe just the thing for you.

Ever gone on a fishing trip and wanted to watch a DVD? Suppose you thought it may get wet and then, you wouldnt necessarily want to watch Jaws on it while youre out there. Either way, you can now watch movies on the road (and in the boat) with NECs NDP-70, seven-inch screen,  portable DVD player.

NEC says that, its designed for use in [the] bedroom, office, car, boat, or caravan and offers up to 2.7 hours of viewing before needing recharging on its standard NIMH battery pack.

Using a satchel, the  DVD player can also be fastened to rear car seats and can operate with the use of  a 12-volt lighter adaptor for the car.

The device also has built-in stereo speakers and features Dolby Digital compatibility and optional DTS surround sound decoding, allowing it to be  linked to your stereo and TV at home.

RRP of $499, more info: www.nec.com.au.
