Portable DVD Irons Out Travel Bumps

By Mike Wheeler | Wednesday | 28/05/2008

Panasonic Australia has introduced two new models in their range of portable DVD players – the DVD-LS86 and DVD-LS83 – designed so passengers can enjoy entertainment when travelling by road, train, plane; or for at-home viewing.

Both models are equipped with an ultra-bright 8.5-inch widescreen LCD display and feature free-style viewing, which allows the screen to be adjusted for flexible viewing angles. The screen can even be folded flat to create a tablet while the controls remain accessible.

An integrated rechargeable battery provides long playback time, allowing uninterrupted entertainment. The DVD-LS86's battery gives users up to 13-hours of battery life and the DVD-LS83 has up to 6 hours.

The new models offer versatile multi-format playback with compatibility for playback of DVD-Video, DVD-RAM, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, CD, SVCD, Video CD and CD-R/RW. Additionally, both models can play back DivX, JPEG, MP3 and MPEG4 content.

The DVD-LS86 also features an iPod input (with audio and video), so you can watch movies and listen to music directly from your iPod.
