Following earlier reports of lift problems at Thredbo and the alleged refusal of the lift operators to reimburse skiers over pre-purchased lift passes, it seems not all is as it seems.
After receiving assurances from the relevant parties at Thredbo that all lift pass issues would be resolved, it seems the ski lifts will be fixed by the end of the day with parts not coming Switzerland but rather from a bit closer to home, that is from Cooma.
Furthermore, according to a Sue Diver, a spokesperson from Thredbo Kosciusko Pty Ltd, the Mount Crackenback lift was not operating due to high wind issues, rather than any mechanical problems.
