Vindictive & Unfair Attacks Really Sony
COMMENT: Yesterday Sony PR attempted to intimidate 4Square Media by deliberately issuing a statement to the Australian technology media that was false and misleading. It was pure bullying tactics by a large Corporation who accused 4Square Media of vindictive and unfair attacks on their credibility.

Smile Blink & Face Detection In New Look Pentax Camera

By Wire Service & TWICE | Tuesday | 02/02/2010

Pentax who has been squeezed in the Australian market by aggressive digital camera marketing from Canon, Nikon, Panasonic and Sony is set to hit back with a new range of sleek looking cameras that have edgy designs that break away from the traditional silver camera look. The new models also incorporate, smile capture, blink detection, and improved face detection technology.

The all new Optio I-10 range has a body style that resembles classic film-based SLR cameras. They include a new Pentax Optio I-10, H90 and E-90 that incorporate a flash unit and speaker in the upper mid-section of the SLR-shaped body while the camera's front panel is embellished with high-quality leatherette texture.

The Optio 1-10 has a wide-angle, 5x optical zoom lens (28mm-140mm equivalent), a 12-megapixel CCD sensor, a 2.7-inch widescreen LCD, and HD video capture at 720p/30 fps.

Distributed in Australia by CR Kennedy the Pentax brand is a big favourite with Japanese consumers with the new look models  incorporating a mechanical sensor shift system which is a key part of the camera's shake reduction system that reduces image blurring when being handheld.

Other features in the I-10 include smile capture, blink detection, and improved face detection that spots up to 32 face, including dogs and cats.
The Optio H90 offers a contemporary design and offers a full feature assortment including a wide angle 5x optical zoom lens (28mm-140mm equivalent), a 12.1-megapixel high-resolution CCD sensor,  and widescreen HD video capture at 720p/30 fps.
