Free Photo Recovery For Storm-Affected PCs

By Manisha Kanetkar | Thursday | 14/06/2007

Data recovery company Kroll Ontrack is offering free digital photo recovery for those Aussies affected by the storms in NSW over the weekend.

For NSW residents with computer water damage resulting from the storms, Kroll says the majority of digital photos stored in the hard drive can still be recovered with the help of data recovery services.

"Damage to personal property during severe weather can be devastating. While most possessions can be replaced and are usually covered by insurance, the same cannot be said for family photos," said Kroll Ontrack General Manager for Australia, Adrian Briscoe.

"Kroll Ontrack is happy to offer the expertise of our 150 highly-trained engineers to recover treasured digital photos for affected residents at no charge," he said.

The company says the increase in the number of jobs it receives following a natural disaster such as the NSW storms reflects the significant number of users relying solely on images stored on home computer to produce photographic prints

The free offer is valid until the end of July. Contact the company on 1 800 872 259 for more information.
