  SanDisk Unveils New Storage Cards

By Caroline Warnes | Friday | 09/03/2007

SanDisk has announced three additions to its line of storage cards for digital cameras.

The Class 6 card with MicroMate
There are two new SDHC (standard definition high capacity) cards: the 4GB Class 6 card and the 8GB Ultra II card.

The 4GB card is designed for high-performance digital cameras and comes with SanDisk MicroMate USB 2.0 reader for free, which is valued at $20.

Its Class 6 rating is the highest available.

Meanwhile the 8GB card is designed for fast performance and large storage in new cameras. It features write speeds of up to 9MBps and read speeds of 10MBps, SanDisk claims.

The final addition is the 4GB memory Stick Pro Duo card.

All three will be available before June this year, with pricing to be revealed closer to the date.
