New Panasonic Camcorder Fits In Your Pocket

By Manisha Kanetkar | Tuesday | 19/02/2008

Part of Panasonic’s new camcorder line up are two new ultra-small video cameras, small enough to fit in a purse or the pockets of a pair of cargo pants.

The SW20 is the larger of the two camcorders, though it is still small and light enough to fit comfortably in the one hand. It is waterproof and shock proof and sand proof making it ideal for underwater video capture or for use at the beach. Just be careful to lock the battery into place first, to ensure no water leaks through.

The tinier, 165-gram weighing S7 video camera is designed to be portable enough to carry around anywhere, meaning you can capture special moments on the go. Ideal for snap-happy new parents, the S7, like the SW20 stores footage on SD cards and comes with a 4GB SDHC card.

Both video cameras feature 10x optical zoom, with special modes and functions (e.g. an underwater mode in the SW20) to help users capture a better movie.

RRP:
SDR-SW20: $769 Silver (Available March)
SDR-S7: $549 Silver & Black (Available April)
