Play PS2 Games In 3D With EyeFX

By Manisha Kanetkar | Tuesday | 19/12/2006

EyeFX is a 3D Adapter which looks like a pair of sunglasses and plugs into your PS2 controller to allow you to play existing games in 3D.

Manufacturer of the device SplitFish GameWare says that all games are not applicable to playing in 3D, but the titles that do work such as Ace Combat show better 3D quality than a 3D theme park. A list of tried and tested games are listed on the company's website.

The device is simply plug and play SplitFish says, so no special game versions or custom programming is required. Approximately 14 percent of the Sony games have some 3D sections, while 7 percent of the tested games are spectacular in 3D, the company claims.

Although available initially only for PS2, the company does have plans to port the device for Playstation 3.

SplitFish has set up an ebay store for international purchases.

RRP: $US49.99
