That is being touted as quite a resounding triumph for Nintendo and even more impressive when one considers the Microsofts Xbox 360 had a head start on the competition by about 12 months.
This follows the earlier report on channelnews.com.au that with the majority of the Australian retail chains seeing their gaming growth coming from the Sony PS3 or the Nintendo Wii and that and that the Nintendo Wii was appealling to both women and kids because of its interactive capability.
And in a further blow to Microsoft, the Sony PS3 is now outselling the Xbox 360 both in Europe and the US.
