  Wii Shop Updates And Add-ons

By Sarah Falson | Tuesday | 11/12/2007

The Nintendo Wii Shop Channel today announces three new applications available for download -- a new Photo Channel update, a Gift Feature and Pokemon Snap.

Virtual Gift

You can now send a Virtual Console game or Wii software as a present via Wii's Shop Channel.

Sending gifts works in the same way as making a purchase from the Wii Shop Channel – just choose the software, select ‘gift', and choose a friend from your Wii Friends Roster.

You can even personalise the gift by attaching your own Mii and a message, says Wii-maker, Nintendo.

Pokemon Snap

Virtual Console is also offering Pokémon Snap, in which gamers can capture Pokémon not with a Poké Ball but with a camera, according to Nintendo.

Originally a hit on Nintendo 64, the Virtual Console version of Pokémon Snap has been enhanced to work with the Wii Message Board - so now you can share your favourite Pokémon pictures with friends.

Photo Channel

A new version of the Photo Channel is also available. This version is free to download simply by visiting the Wii Software section.
