The Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen allows you to play as an Autobot. You start as Optimus Prime, with the game taking you through step-by-step instructions on how to move around. You can move to the left or right, jump up and diagonally, perform melee attacks, and even transform using the number pad.

You are going to battle the Decepticons in hand-to-hand combat, with users being able to perform one-hit kills depending on the situation. The game is filled with traps and puzzles, which gives the game more variety. For example, in order for you to progress to the next area, you must jump on top of a crane, defeat a Decepticon, turn off the switch to disable the barrier, and move on. There will also be a couple of instances when you need to transform to vehicle mode in order to get through.

Other Autobots are also present in the game, giving you power-ups like temporary invincibility and special weapon attacks.
