  PlayStation Portable Upgrade Announced

By Manisha Kanetkar | Monday | 30/07/2007

Sony Computer Entertainment is set to launch an upgraded version of the PlayStation Portable (PSP) which has a more streamlined form factor and a video-out port.

The new PSP, which will hit stores in September, will be 33 percent lighter and 19 percent slimmer than the original version, weighing in at 189g.

Also adding a video-out port to allow you to watch movies and pictures stored on UMDs or Memory Stick Duo, the new PSP can temporarily store game data from UMD and can be charged using a PS3 or PC via USB.

The device will be available in Piano Black, Ceramic White and Ice Silver.

RRP $279.95
