  Internode Plays Games Online

By David Richards | Tuesday | 02/09/2008

Broadband service provider Internode has rejigged its games Web site in a bid to provide faster performance and widen its appeal.
Now dubbed Games On Net, it's said to contain more than 15,000 files, totalling more than two terabytes of data held on mirrored Sun SAN equipment in Adelaide and Sydney.

Customers use the network to play interactive games online, legally download games or demo versions of new titles, swap hints and information and read news about online gaming, Internode says.

The network can handle more than 4000 concurrent users, and deliver 200 dedicated games at any time, Internode claims. Most popular current games are Team Fortress 2; Call of Duty 4 and Counterstrike: Source.
