  Hot New Xbox Interface Launched

By Mendelson Tiu | Wednesday | 19/11/2008

Microsoft’s new software update will breathe new life onto the Xbox 360, as the new interface promises to have a more user-friendly look and will allow users to create online parties, chat with friends, and even create a personalised avatar similar to Nintendo’s Mii.

With today's update Xbox 360 owners will enjoy a highly interactive world ready to share with friends across the globe through Xbox Live. New features include: Xbox LIVE Party which allows you to create a virtual party on your TV with up to seven friends and let them share photos and play games in real time; Personality plus which allows a user to create a customisable virtual representation of yourself (avatar) and literally jump into the world of Xbox Live; and a Personal Games Room so you can play games like Pac-Mac Championship Edition, Galaga Legions, as well as Bomberman Live and Uno.

In addition, Xbox LIVE members will also be able to access all of Xbox LIVE Marketplace, including Xbox LIVE Arcade, and even queue content to download straight from Xbox.com.

Xbox 360's Product Marketing manager for games and Live, Andrew Jenkins said, "Xbox 360 is getting a whole new look. From today Xbox owners are able to download a new user interface for their consoles, effectively updating their Xbox through Xbox LIVE. Xbox 360 now boasts a more user-friendly  look and allows users to create online parties, chat with friends, share pictures, create avatars of themselves and much more."
