The game was available throughout the world via Xbox Live and became the single most downloaded content on the Live service and beat the Halo 2 record of the highest number of people playing concurrently on one title on Live.

The new saved-film feature which allows players to record their games and share them over Live with friends also saw more than 580,000 films created.

Halo 3 is set to launch worldwide on 25 September along with some new Halo 3 merchandise for diehard fans. Microsoft is released two Xbox 360 limited edition Halo 3 controllers packaged with a Halo 3 figurine designed by comic book and toy creator Todd McFarlane, as well as a Halo 3 wireless headset.

RRP:
Xbox 360 Limited Edition Halo 3 Wireless Controllers: $89.95.
