Flight Simulator X Soars Into Stores

By Caroline Warnes | Thursday | 26/10/2006

Microsoft has launched the 10th version of its popular Flight Simulator game, offering pilots the chance to fly from over 24,000 airports around the world.

Flight Simulator X offers even richer and more detailed graphics than its predecessors, Microsoft claims.

Players have the choice of flying dozens of new aircrafts, including the AirCreation Ultralight and Maule M7-260C Orion with wheels and skis.

Microsoft developers have also added other realistic touches, with factors such as the weather, time of day and seasons all considered. You can even watch moving cars and detailed buildings in the city below (including Sydney).

Mission-based gameplay has also been added so you can compete in an air race or even bring relief material to a Third World country.

The standard version has a RRP of $99.95 while the deluxe version sells for $119.95. More information www.microsoft.com.au
