  Samsung Plasma Goes Full-HD

By Sarah Falson | Wednesday | 31/10/2007

A full new range of Samsung plasma TVs has been unleashed – the P9 Series, the first 1080p plasma from the brand, designed for entertainment enthusiasts who desire the “ultimate viewing experience”.

Released off the back of some research conducted by the company called the HDTV Survey, the P9 Series is Samsung's answer to an increased knowledge-base locally with the number of Australians able to identify a high definition product leaping from 13 per cent to 28 per cent compared to last year.

Two models make up the P9 Series – the 50-inch PS50P91FDX ($5,299) and the 58-inch PS58P91FDX ($8,799)  -- both with full-HD 1920 x 180p resolution, 15,000:1 contrast ratio, 1000cd/m2 brightness and various connectivity options including three HDMI inputs.

Both models also include an integrated high definition tuner for TV broadcasts.
