Is Ferrari Going Broke? Or Are They Just Lost?

By David Richards | Wednesday | 13/06/2007

Is Ferrari going broke or are they so desperate to get their brand out there that they are licensing their name to just about anyone to make a quick buck.

It's often been said that people who drive Ferraris are wankers who like to flaunt it. But what about those poor desperate people who are desperate to have a Ferrari notebook, a Ferrari monitor or maybe a big red Ferrari radio for $4,000. Then there is the Ferrari car driving kit for the new Sony PS3 or maybe a Ferrari phone.

But if by now, you are lost and confused about which Ferrari gadget you want to buy we have news for you. Acer is about to release a shiny red Ferrari GPS system just in case you get lost in your sub $30,000 motor car. Maybe they are not making enough money from their cars.

Acer, an official supplier of the Scuderia Ferrari racing team, plans to soon launch a Ferrari edition GPS device targeting the high-end segment, initially targeting the European market, according to sources at Acer.
