The new range of DVD recorders includes two hard disk models, including the DMR-EH65 (RRP $989, 250GB) at the top of the range and the DMR-EH55 (RRP $769, 160GB) after that. These two models feature an SD Card slot.
The two entry-level models are the DMR ES15 (RRP $379) and the DMR-ES35V DVD recorder/VCR combo (RRP $549).
All models feature a DV input terminal, 500 lines horizontal resolution when recording in any mode, high-resolution progressive scan playback and visibility modulation technology.
To coincide with the new DVD recorders, Panasonic has also released the SC-HT995W DVD home theatre system; featuring wireless rear speakers, HDMI and Viera Link functionality. This 1000W system retails for $1099, while an 850W version retails for $769.
The final new addition to the Panasonic range is the SA-XR57 digital 7.1-channel receiver and amplifier. This features HDMI and Viera Link and supports most of the surround sound formats. The retail price for the SA-XR57 is $879.
