The DVD-1740 features a Component video, a SCART output, two digital audio outputs and supports various disc and file formats that includes CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW, MP3, and WMA9 audio files. The system is also able to read Kodak CD and JPEG images and can also playback DVD-R and DVD-RW discs.
Denon says that at the heart of all these advanced technologies are the latest 12-bit/108kHz video DACs and 24-bit/192kHz Burr Brown audio DACs, plus discrete video circuitry together with separate analogue and digital circuit boards for the highest quality performance. It also features VSS or Virtual Surround Sound that allows you to enjoy surround sound from just one pair of speakers and a Picture Zoom feature enables you to enlarge the picture by 2 or 4 times and the cursor enables you to move the enlarged area within the screen.
