Men Fight With Women Over Home Theatre

By David Richards | Thursday | 18/01/2007

Does this sound familiar “Men are fighting women over which features are important in a home theatre system”.

According to an Onmitel Survey, 74 percent of women say "sound quality" is an important feature of the Home Theatre while only 54 percent of men do.

Women also disagree with men over how much they should pay for the Home Theatre (69 percent of women say price is "very important" compared to 50 percent of men) and whether it should be easy to use (67 percent of women say that's important compared to 45 percent of men.)

The Home Theatre includes a big-screen HDTV and surround sound speakers to simulate the movie theatre experience. While a Home Theatre can be installed with an inexpensive "out of the box" product, a customised, professional installation can cost thousands of dollars but is well worth the investment long term.
