The LG HLB54S claims to provide 430 Watts of output power, has a 4.1-channel surround sound, and comes with a wireless subwoofer.

LG Australia's Senior Marketing Manager, Stan Bilinski said, "LG's new HLB54S is a stylish solution for cinema-quality surround sound at home. With its built-in Blu-ray player, Dolby-enhanced sound, Wi-Fi capabilities and minimalist design, this sound bar makes movies sound better. By not only combining stylish design and smart technology the HLB54S Sound Bar further benefits consumers by offering a compact solution to minimise clutter in the living room."

The HLB54S includes a Blu-ray player that sits at the centre of the sound bar. With Wi-Fi, it connects wirelessly to the internet to provide additional movie-related content through BD Live 2.0 or to stream videos from YouTube.

It is compatible with the most up-to-date digital audio standards like Dolby True HD, DTS-HD and even the industry-certified lossless DTS HD Master Audio Essential. Its two HDMI inputs ensure that almost any device will connect directly to the sound bar. It also comes with additional input pots to connect components like digital cable, satellite decoders, or video game consoles.

The HLB54S Blu-ray Soundbar plays audio and video files from an iPod and also connects to other brands of MP3 players, mobile phones, computers, digital video cameras and USB memory. The HLB54S not only plays music from USB memory, it can also convert audio CDs to MP3 files and store them on USB memory.

The LG HLB54S Blu-ray Sound Bar is available now for $1,499.
