Denon's new product features X-Space Surround, which delivers sound flexibility by reproducing the surround sound and expanding the listening area.  By relying on diffraction and broad sound beams, the DHT-FS5 is consistent, room-independent and corners and large rooms are no longer a problem.

The sound waves released from the DHT-FS5 speakers radiate throughout the room so that listeners hear the sound from the front left and right, the centre, and the rear left and right.
It is available in silver or black, is optimised for flat panel screens and has a bass reflex design. Features include Dolby Pro Logic Il, Dolby Digital, and DTS decoders to reproduce not only digital sound from a DVD or set-top-box but also analogue video sound.
Night Mode allows movies and television programs to be enjoyed without disturbing others in the home, and the remote control includes input selection and multiple surround sound mode options. The DHT-FS5 also includes four audio modes movie, music, stereo and news.
