  ViewSonic Launches DLP Projector Range

By Mike Wheeler | Wednesday | 02/07/2008

ViewSonic has released three DLP projectors designed for the home, classroom and corporate markets.

The PJ513D, PJ551D, PJ560D include Texas Instruments' BrilliantColor Technology, which is claimed to provide rich, lifelike images by using a wider range of the colour spectrum than other, similar products.

Dynamic Contrast Ratio technology is used to enhance contrast ratio up to 2000:1. This technology is said to makes black colours blacker and white colours whiter. These units also support ViewMatch technology, which allows users to adjust individual colour intensity for screen and print matching.

Lamp technology boosts the lamp life to up to 3500 hours, increasing efficiency by up to 15 percent, while giving an output of 2,200 lumens of brightness.

The PJ513D offers 800x600 SVGA resolution and the PJ551D features 1024x768 XGA native resolution to display detailed presentations and video.

In addition, the projectors feature digital vertical correction to adjust typically trapezoidal images, and an eco mode reduces fan noise.
