Incorporating the latest generation DarkChip4 chipset, the new Grand Cinema HT3000 HOST (High-Definition Optical Signal Transfer) is a "surprisingly compact" unit which boasts the company's famously good-looking cabinet design, according to Sim2.
The projector offers flexibility with a discrete outboard video input processor that connects via SIM2's proprietary, three-line optical digital system, which allows to system to link the two over distances up to 250m.
The unit can be installed in a variety of ways that are usually only offered by projectors with a modular design, allowing installers to connect a large number of source devices from a single, small-diametre fibre-optic cable.
The two-piece HT3000 HOST weighs 11kg with a 43cm width. The chassis was designed by award-winning designer Giorgio Revoldini.
Inside, a 0.95-inch DarkChip4 DLP DMD from Texas Instruments offers full-HD 1080p imaging. SIM2 adds its proprietary ALPHAPATH light engine, whose precision optics help to ensure stunningly defined, accurate imaging, according to Sim2.
The SIM2 HT3000 HOST projector is available now from selected SIM2 specialist retailers with an RRP of $29,999 for the short throw lens version and $32,999 for the long throw lens version.
