The company says most projectors at this price point are LCD, rather than DLP projectors, so its new model makes DLP an affordable option.

The projector comes with a 720p DMD panel (DC2) featuring an expanded mirror operation angle of 12 degrees and claimed contrast of 3000:1.

It also features gamma correction which aims to improve picture quality by choosing between three settings that best suit the program being viewed; for example a sporting event would be best viewed in one setting whilst a movie would look best on another.

Weighing in at 2.9kg, the projector is also one of the lightest on the market, Mitsubishi Electric claims, its noise level is a claimed 25dba. The projector is also fully enclosed so it doesn't require filters.
