A Projector For Just About Anything

By Mendelson Tiu | Monday | 17/09/2007

For those who don’t want to keep on hooking up their DVD players to their projector every time they want to watch a movie, then Epson’s widescreen home theatre and games projector with an integrated DVD/CD player and speaker may just be the answer to your prayers.

Epson claims that its EMP-DM1 is a projector that has a DVD/CD player that is able to play DVDs, VCDs, Audio CDs, MP3 and WMA CDs, JPEG photos, and DivX formats.

In addition, the EMP-DM1 accepts input from a laptop computer or PC, video and still digital cameras, external DVD and video players, gaming consoles, multimedia players such as an iPod, multi-card readers (via the USB slot), and USB drives.

The EMP-DM1 has XGA resolution of 480p in a native widescreen format (480 x 854), and lamp brightness of 1000 ANSI lumens, making it a great companion for those who like big image widescreen sports, concerts, games and movies, the company says.

And with two 8W speakers integrated with the DVD/CD player, users may be able to watch their favourite movie, play games, and even listen to music without having to connect the projector to an audio source.
