NEC has released the VT800G LCD, which is Windows Vista compatible, enabling it to be quickly and simply connected to any local network - additional software or administrator rights are not required to achieve connectivity. Its Ethernet compatibility and Windows remote desktop control functionality allow data streaming from remote sources, and it uses the strong noise suppression of HQVTM (Hollywood Quality Video) technology. With a brightness of 2,700 ANSI lumens makes the unit particularly suitable for deployment in the public and education sectors for conferences, meetings, presentations or lectures. With its PIP (picture-in-picture) mode, a second video picture can also be imaged within the full picture – particularly useful for video-conferencing. The digital HDMI-port with HDCP support enables the presentation of coded HD video and HDTV content. In addition, it offers two VGA ports, S-video, video and audio ports, as well as a 3.5mm stereo audio output port. An external monitor can also be connected via the analogue PC output port. Maintenance and control of the projector is possible using the RJ45 or RS-232 ports. Its USB viewer permits the connection of external data storage devices directly to the projector (such as a USB stick) and allows the playing of image files stored on them. The 1.2-times optical zoom, and automatic vertical (up to 30-degrees) and horizontal (up to 40-degrees) keystone correction allow users flexible operation of the projector in any location. The innovative 3D Reform function also allows compensation of trapazoidal distortions which can arise due to the projector not placed in line with the screen. RRP $2,860
