NEC Projectors Go After Corporate Market

By Mike Wheeler | Thursday | 14/08/2008

Hot on the heels of Epson going after the corporate and educational projector sectors, NEC has also made its intentions clear with the release of two new units aimed at the same markets.

The lightweight automatic NP41G and NP61G provide bright (2300 and 3000 lumens) and colourful images while remaining quiet in operation (32dB in ECO Mode). Their quick-start and quick-cooling features minimise setup and shutdown times between meetings, and their automatic focus provides a sharp detailed image.
Both units automatically detect the source and project the image with auto input selection, while their AutoSense feature intuitively syncs the projector with most computer signals, and features one-touch image optimisation. The automatic vertical keystone correction technology projects a square image, even when the projector is set up at a steep offset angle.
Features include:

  • 1600:1 contrast ratio
  • XGA 1024 x 768 resolution
  • Lightweight at 1.6kgs
  • BrilliantColor technology with 6-segment colour wheel, which increases system brightness and colour saturation
15-pin RGB, RCA, S-Video input connectors and audio input
  • HD compatibility
  • ECO Mode technology, which increases lamp life by up to 40 percent for up to 3500 hours
  • Quiet operation at < 32dB

RRP
NP41G $1,728
NP61G $2,452
