BenQ Projector Displays Two Sources At Once

By Mendelson Tiu | Friday | 24/08/2007

A projector that can display two sources at once is now possible, as BenQ says that its new SP830 and SP831 native widescreen projectors can do the job without any problems.

These two projectors have a high ANSI lumen at 3500/4000, enables a user to display and control two inputs, at the same time side by side independently, BenQ claims.

"Just imagine teaching a foreign language in a school and being able to display both English and the taught language side by side on the same screen for the students to work with, these are truly unique breakthrough products," said BenQ Managing Director, Phil Newton.

For dual screen display mode the HQV processor is able to perform a full suite of image-enhancing processing calculations on two high definition sources simultaneously, bringing flawless performance for picture-in-picture or dual screen functions.

The embedded HQV processor significantly enhances the Dual Screen output function of the projector by delivering superior performance in de-interlacing, noise reduction and scaling with both standard-definition and high-definition signals.

Both the SP830/831 feature a zoom control function that enables users to zoom in on specific portions of the displayed image and an off-line cooling function for automatic cooling after unplugging the projector. Furthermore, both projectors boast a wealth of application modes and are compatible with various inputs including DVI-I (with HDCP), component, composite and S-video inputs.

"We're extremely excited and very proud of this industry first, and of our role in pushing forward the frontiers of technology. For the Australian market specifically, the SP830 and SP831 projectors have distinct applications including corporate, medical, education and government," said Newton.
