With Full High Definition 1080p (1,920 x 1,080) resolution, the PT-AE3000E allows home theatre enthusiasts experience the true beauty of Full HD content in Blu-ray Discs, while new state-of-the-art projection technology produces crisp and clear images for fast moving images.

Other technologies in the projector include fifth-generation Dynamic Iris and Smooth Screen technology.

To achieve sharp and detailed reproduction of fast moving motion images, the company developed advanced signal processing technologies including the newly-evolved Detail Clarity Processor 2 and the new Frame Creation interpolation technology, which delivers a new level of picture quality, claims Panasonic. It can handle up to 16-bit (full 12-bit) digital image processing, to faithfully reproduce even subtle hues and brightness variations.

By collaborating with leading Hollywood filmmakers, Panasonic has enhanced the unit's performance to ensure that it produces images that reflect the director's artistic vision and intent. Additionally, cinematic widescreen formats like 21:9 or 16:9 may be set at the touch of a button, thanks to the projector's Lens Memory feature, which allows easy adjustment of different aspect ratios by storing three different preset zoom/focus positions that correspond exactly to a user's favourite cinemascope and TV aspect ratios.

The dramatic increase in the contrast ratio and dynamic range was made possible by the newly engineered Pure Contrast Plate technology that effectively blocks unwanted light leakage.

The Frame Creation technology that interpolates an additional frame by analysing the characteristics of two adjacent frames, creating sharp and clear images of fast moving scenes in sports, action movies and games, especially for large screen viewing. A double-speed display (120Hz or 100Hz) greatly improves the clarity of motion image display. For 24p (24 frames per sec) signal input, three frames are calculated and interpolated for each existing frame, to enable quadruple speed (96Hz) display for natural frame-to-frame transitions.
