The RXV3800Bi and RXV1800B ensure full HD signals are delivered to reproduce the audio and visual experience created by the producer. The new HDMI version 1.3a offers support for Deep Colour providing 30 and 36-bit colour depths, allowing the rendering of billions of colours for greater picture accuracy. Both receivers support 24Hz refresh rate, the native refresh rate for film sources such as Blu-Ray and also supports higher refresh rates on 100Hz/120Hz, making this receiver ready for the next generation of LCD and plasma display panels.

Delivering the latest in visual technology, the RXV3800Bi and RXV1800B can also up-scale analogue video sources to output at full HD 1080p resolution and will deliver superb surround sound by supporting the new HD audio codecs from DTS and Dolby Laboratories, the company says.

Both the RXV3800Bi and RXV1800B have no less than four HDMI inputs with one monitor output, in addition to its three component video inputs and seven digital audio inputs (3 x coaxial, 4 x optical) with two optical audio outputs.

The RXV3800Bi supports network functionality, allowing it to stream MP3, WMA or WAV files from your PC into your lounge room, or access the large range of stations streamed in MP3 format from the vTuner website. Add the YDS10S, Yamaha's iPod dock (included with the
RXV3800Bi) to either receiver and have access to your iPod music with just a touch of a button for the remote.

The RXV3800Bi also includes the latest 3D DSP program, offering the latest in Digital Sound Field Processing. Activating the 3D DSP mode activates the front presence speakers, offering a full front sound stage.
