  Denon Release Internet Receiver

Denon have announced their first internet-enabled receiver, the AVR-4306, will be available in Australia in the next two months.
The AVR-4306 ($3999) boasts several features including iPod connectivity and control, and the ability to connect to internet radio without the need for a PC. The receiver connects to a broadband-enabled router and will find www.radiodenon.com, giving access to over 2300 internet radio stations globally.
The receiver also boasts numerous Ethernet functions, including audio streaming from a networked PC using Windows Media Connect; Audio streaming from a networked PC via UPnP; PC customisation and setup; PC settings backup (potentially very handy for complex installs); and connection to Crestron and AMX network control systems.
You can also control and setup the AVR-4306 over the web, with remote access and diagnosis for installers.
There are plenty of other key features not directly connected to the receivers innovative networking/internet facilities, too. These include:
* HDMI video conversion with 1080i upscaling
* 1080p HDMI switching with three inputs
* Denon Link 3 - the newest version of Denon's excellent digital sound carriage system
* iPod/MP3 interface
* Audyssey MultEQ XT – an auto correction and calibration system capable of catering for up to six listening positions and which delivered excellent results during a recent demo we attended
* every Denon digital technology, including the very latest DSPs and codecs
* Seven discrete power amplifiers and multiple-channel outputs, with independent audio & video processing capability able to deliver a 3-room multi source/multi-zone home entertainment system.
* Analogue Video Conversion to HDMI output with high quality de-interlacing and upscaling up to 1080i
* Future proof 1080p HDMI switching and repeater functions.
* Full iPod integration - allows control for 3G and above with Dock Connector; Charges iPod even when in standby; Front and rear dedicated iPod inputs for temporary or permanent installations; Full on-screen displays with remote control from AV Receiver handset; High sound-quality due to use of line-out from iPod; Slide shows on main display from the iPod Photo and 5G
* Full integration and control of Rio / Creative MP3 players and many more with USB Host Control interface
* Play music from USB memory sticks and USB hard drives, accessing playlists via on-screen-displays
* Custom Install features, including (over and above Ethernet) assignable DC trigger outputs and an RS-232C port for integrated system operation with Crestron or AMX
* 7 x 130 watts of full-bandwidth low-distortion high-current power (or 7 x 170 watts into 6 ohms, 1kHz, 0.7% distortion/DIN)
