The new DVR-550HX-S and DVR-LX60D have a built-in DVB SD digital tuner which enables a user to receive crystal clear pictures in widescreen format. The new DVD recorders also has the ability to synchronise with Pioneer's new Kuro plasma displays, allowing users to operate basic operations including Playback or Power on/off with a single remote control.

With 160GB or 250GB of storage space, users may be able to record crystal clear content, as well as store and access all of their favourite television programs, music, digital photographs and digital video camera footage in their own living room.

The Pioneer recorders also have one touch recording and copying, a DV-In port for copying content from camcorders, a USB input port for instantly storing files from multimedia devices, and can even print photos from the HDD via a PictBridge-compatible USB printer.
