The HDR1600T will come with a 160GB HDD and claims to pause or rewind live television broadcasts at a variety of speeds and can instantly play them back from any point on the hard drive.
The unit can record up to two programs at once and has features like an eight favourite channel function, closed captioning and on screen teletext output with recording capabilities, multi-language record, and can rename and delete recorded files. It also comes with a seven day Electronic Program Guide (EPG) and timer record programming, allowing a user to preset the unit to record a week's worth of programs, the company says.
The unit will come with HDMI and YPbPR connection ports, and claims to provide ‘full extended sound' with its Dolby AC-3 / MPEG-1 audio decoding capabilities.
