Inefficient Light Bulb Replaced By GlacialLight

By Mike Wheeler | Friday | 27/06/2008

In a move sure to warm the hearts of Greenies everywhere, GlacialTech subsidiary GlacialLight has launched the MR16 LED bulb, designed to replace the Halogen MR16.

For just a fraction of the power use, the product incorporates the same structure and style of traditional halogen MR16 products, but delivers a brighter performance, with less heat radiation.

The LED-MR16 can be used for everyday use, and incorporates all the latest luminary technology garnered from GlacialTech's resources.

GlacialLight uses heatsinks, specialised power units and LED luminaries, giving the bulbs long life (in excess of 50,000hrs) with high lumen throughout the lifecycle.

The bulb uses 3.5-Watts of energy whereas traditional halogen light sources burn at 50-Watts, while emitting radiation and creating mercury by-products. The LED-MR16 is a safe, environmentally friendly solution that reduces harmful chemical exposure to the environment, and reduces global emissions through reduced power consumption. The efficient cooling structure of the heatsink is optimally designed to keep the 50,000hr longevity of the device intact.
