Boring Dell Gets Into Bed With Victoria Secrets Model

By David Richards | Sunday | 09/12/2007

Dell has called on the services of a top Victoria Secrets model for the public unveiling of the Dell XPS One all-in-one PC which wil go head to head with an all in one Sony Vaio and the Apple Mac. The cocktail party was held in the trendy SoHo section of Manhattan in New York.

On hand for the event was Victoria's Secret supermodel and Dell One spokeswoman Karolina Kurkova who posed with the PC and Dell executives. Kurkova is appearing in print ads with the One.

The Dell One was initially launched on Nov. 19. Dell is marketing four basic models of the One — The Essential One, The Music One, The Performance One and The Entertainment One — ranging in price from $1,800. It is not known when the product will be launched in Australia.

All the models feature 20-inch displays, various Intel Core 2 Duo processors, 2GB of memory, hybrid analog/digital TV tuner and Microsoft Vista Home Premium. The higher-end models have more powerful processors and larger hard drives.

I just wish Dell ships Karolina out to Australia for the launch.
