Kingston Turns 20 And Aims For The Aussie Market

By Mendelson Tiu | Wednesday | 24/10/2007

Kingston has recently celebrated its 20th Anniversary and has told media representatives from all over the Asia-Pacific region that it will now be focusing more on its memory modules and flash products, and will be looking at increasing its market share in Australia.

When asked for exact figures in terms of market share here in Australia, all they were able to say was that in the USB flash market, Kingston is in the top three (having a market share of 7 to 10 percent). In terms of memory however, Kingston claims that is currently in the number one spot as they have a 20 percent share (sales from its HyperX and Value RAM).

Looking ahead, Kingston plans to increase the number of their distributors here in Australia, make people aware of the Kingston brand with various advertisements and events, and will have more products available for the Australian market.
