Nintendo Wii Won't Have A Memory Problem

By David Richards | Sunday | 19/11/2006

SanDislk has announced a special edition of memory for the new Nintendo Wii. The product will be launched in Australia in December.
Not even flash memory manufacturers are  immune to the surge in game console hysteria, as SanDisk debuted a Wii-branded "special edition" SD card for Nintendo's game platform.

The cards will ship immediately in 512MB, 1GB and 2GB configurations.

The white SD card can be used to store game saves, downloaded games or for backing up Virtual Console games in the Wii Shop Channel. The Wii can also display digital images andQuickTime movies stored on the card, as well as any MP3 audio files as background music to photo slide shows.

The special edition card will be sold where SanDisk's gaming edition flash memory products are distributed.
